Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation (SFIEC) is one of the first non-public foundations in China that aim at promoting international exchange and cooperation and facilitating the internationalization of a city.
Founded in December 2014, SFIEC has carried out over 70 international exchange and cooperation activities and funded projects in 30 cities, 22 countries in 6 continents. The Foundation has facilitated more than 280 international activities, covering 8 key areas of economy & trade, technology, education, culture, art, environmental protection, sister cities, health & hygiene, from which more than 7,000 people directly benefited.
SFIEC's Chairman is Mr WANG Shi, founder and honoary chairman of China Vanke Co., Ltd. The honorary presidents are: Prof. CHEN Shiyi, President of Southern University of Science and Technology; Mr. LANG Lang, world-renowned pianist; Mr. MA Weihua, president of China Entrepreneur Club and former President and CEO of China Merchants Bank; Ms. TANG Lixia, former Director General of Foreign Affairs Office, Shenzhen Municipal People's Government. The Foundation's operational management adheres to international standards.
SFIEC strives to conceive projects for regional development and interconnection. Our goal is to convey Shenzhen's highlights to the world.
